I believe this thought must cross every pregnant woman’s mind at some point:
Wow! What a strong kick. This baby is going to be a soccer player!
Do the talents of childhood manifest themselves in future careers? Prince sure loves to perform for the Skype webcam, but he still battles shyness in front of an audience. Will he really grow up to be a conductor because he loves Thomas the Tank Engine so much?
I don’t know, but it sure is fun to cater a bit to a child’s early preferences. Prince’s new thing is photography. He will tell you where to sit and how to sit, hold his hand up and steady it with his other one, tell you “Say cheese!” or “Smile!”, then turn his hand around to show you the “picture.” We always admire the shot and the lighting, which encourages him to move you around for a new angle. This can go on for quite a while.
Now, does he just get this from his trigger-happy parents? A foreshadowing of a future calling? Or just a childhood game?
Whatever it is, it’s fun and easy to cater to. A cheap, kid-friendly digital camera is on its way to our little photographer this very moment. Sometime in the next few months, this blog will become the new photo gallery of the next Ansel Adams or Anne Geddes.
