Turkey in Miniature

ladyherndon Home, Turkey

The last Saturday of our break, we visited an amazing little place called Miniaturk here in Istanbul. It is a park full of miniature versions of some of the amazing architectural wonders in Istanbul and other parts of Turkey. With all of the little buildings on grassy knolls, woven throughout with smooth paths, Lord Herndon and I thought it would be a wonderful miniature golf course!

Prince loved holding our ticket up to the scanner and listening to the descriptions of the buildings spoken aloud in English.

The neat thing about this place was that you could walk all the way around a building and notice all of the amazing details that you would never be able to see on the real thing. Some websites said this park is a waste of time and that you should only go see the sites themselves, but we found that Miniaturk made us even more excited to see them in real life, since we were able to get a better idea of what they looked like.
