A Gift from Grandmas

ladyherndon Colorado, Home

This is our third computer.

Yes, three. No TV though. I’m happy to sound like a recovering addict when I say, “Hi. My name is Lady Herndon. It’s been three months since I’ve watched any TV.”

Actually longer than that, because we didn’t get any English-language channels while living overseas and so we only watched movies. Movies don’t really count. Of course, now we hardly get to watch movies any more, either, unless we hook up the computer. But that’s okay by me.

Anyway, this is our third computer. It’s Prince’s; a conglomerate gift from three different grandmas.

Grandma Marlene supplied the tower, keyboard, speakers, and mouse when she upgraded her own PC.

Grandma Beth (and Papa Steve) supplied the flat screen monitor (which already has crayon on it…I tried. I really did).

Finally, Prince’s cousins’ grandma…the grandmother of my nieces and nephew…his Cousin Grandma Debbie, as we have decided to call her, gave us the Little Tykes desk.

Right now, he only has a typing program on it, but he sure knows how to click right on the icon, maximize the screen, make the font size bigger, change the font, and start typing. It’s amazing. Imagine what he will do when we actually get an educational program on there!
