Last night, Lord Herndon fulfilled a promise.
He made a promise to me that we would take dance lessons and then go dancing for my 30th birthday.
We had our first lesson last night, and learned the basics of waltz and bolero.
It was so fun, so romantic, and I’m sure so healthy for our relationship! You know, that whole guys-lead-and-girls-follow thing? It’s a healthy way to be married, and it’s a healthy way to dance.
It was wonderful.
I hope that, in time, I can post pictures or maybe even (gasp!) a video of us dancing, but for now, we hope to go once a week and consistently date each other again.
(oh, and there is a formal dance in March with cocktails and a live band, and just thinking about it brings up a pre-prom giddiness that I don’t think I’ll ever grow out of … )
