Our current unit in preschool is Pond and Rainbows (for Spring, you know), and we have talked about bugs, ducks, frogs, and the colors of the rainbow. One of the books we studied was In the Tall, Tall Grass by Denise Fleming. There is a caterpillar (or “capetillar” if you are Princess) in that book that can be seen on every page, if you look closely. We decided to make our own caterpillars in tall, tall grass.
