Merry Christmas to All, and to All a Good Night

ladyherndon Colorado, Home

This year, for the first time in almost five years, we were able to celebrate Christmas with both sides of our family. My mom stayed the weekend with us.

We had almost all of the Herndons over on Saturday, including Lord Herndon’s aunt Nancy and her family, recently returned from Germany.

Then on Sunday, we went up to Denver to celebrate with almost all of my side, except for my two sisters and their families.

In our private family celebrations, we enjoyed lighting our Advent wreath (made by my grandma and grandpa) and enjoying a similarly illuminating snack.

We attended a Christmas Adam (the day before Christmas Eve) Candlelight Service at our church, where Lord Herndon performed with the choir and Princess and Prince sang with the children’s choir. Prince also singed his hair while bowing his head to pray over his candle. Oops!

We were reminded, once again, of the benefits of a hill for a backyard.

Sweet Pea, whom we sometimes call “Pickles,” was the proud detective who found the Pickle Ornament this year.

And some new toys have swiftly become favorites.

The Herndon clan wishes all of you a wonderful, blessed Christmas, glowing with the love of Christ! May your new year be full of surprises, joys, and laughter.

We are also proud to announce the impending arrival of Herndon Offspring Number Four. Baby Herndon will arrive early August, 2012. (Let’s hope not too close to our anniversary so that we can celebrate each occasion individually!)

According to the due date, this Baby was sent from Heaven around Halloween, so Grandma Marlene has dubbed him “Baby Boo.”

We are fairly certain Boo is a boy, because I haven’t been this nauseous during a pregnancy since Prince. Previous experience tells me that baby boys make me feel sick. This one is particularly challenging since I feel nauseous and hungry, all day long. How can you combat that?

This also means…we need a bigger car. Updates on that search will follow.

Love,

Lord Herndon, Lady Herndon, Prince, Princess, Sweet Pea, and Baby Boo
