This year, I was so happy that my mother was able to join us for our church’s annual ladies’ tea. (Let me just say here that the women in charge of the tea this year thought naming it “Mother-Daughter-Sister-Friend Tea” was a good idea and would make everyone feel included – they obviously never said that name out loud!) Since our Women’s Ministry was titled Daughters of the King, and since I’m the church secretary in charge of advertizing, I made the strategic decision to label the tea as such and save us from tongue-twisters.
And yes, in case you’re wondering, I spent so long getting the girl’s ready that I didn’t leave enough time to do my own hair.
Awesome.
