Theo had the privilege of being both 2, 3, and 4 during the course of our trip! He was 2 when we bought the tickets for Disneyland (meaning he was free) and for the first day, then his birthday was our beach day, and so he was “2” again for our second day. Then he was 3 (really) to get into Legoland for free, but he was “4” to ride the Lego jousting ride. So it’s all a matter of perspective, really.
Theo wore a Happy Birthday button during our two days at the park, and it was neat how everyone from characters they met to people in the parade would stop and make a point to say “Happy Birthday Theo!” He felt pretty special. After the first day, we all needed a break so we went to the beach for Theo’s actual birthday.
They loved it, everything about it. They did not want to leave! This was the first time Penny and Theo had seen the ocean, and Evelyn’s and Alex’s first time in 5 years since we moved back to the States from Turkey.
