Aspen Adventure 2015

Every year, taking a drive through the state to see the changing leaves is one of my favorite family traditions. Unfortunately, the demands of my Etsy store have taken precedence lately and I had to postpone our trip by two weeks, which makes all the difference for the aspens here. It meant we missed our window for prime leaf-viewing. But we were still able to enjoy the best part of the tradition: getting out of the city and exploring our beautiful state as a family, and getting some new pics!

This year we drove the route I took each year on the Aspen Bike Trip from Colorado College to Aspen, CO, over Independence Pass. We are definitely driving this way again next year too, because we saw a lot of aspen-potential if we would have gone a week or two earlier. That date will be carved in stone next year!
