I suppose I looked at our Halloween photo in the front yard and though “My gosh! I need to rake those leaves up!”
That or I saw possible snow coming later this week so I didn’t want a bunch of frozen, rotting leaves stuck in our yard all winter.
Or the kids are all working hard on chores to save up for LEGOs and American Girl doll outfits, so it was the perfect paying job to offer.
Or all of the above.
Either way, Alex got paid.
And Theo didn’t.
But he sure had fun!
