Another Saturday exploring this incredible city we live in. Our regular Metro rides reveal hidden treasures in those crowded tunnels.

Nativity of Christ Church at the base of the funicular

We took a roundabout way through the city center, down the funicular, and back up through the park on the hillside in order to reach Andrew’s Descent, one of the oldest streets in Kyiv.

Andrew’s Descent is lined with vendors selling locally made crafts, art, and even Soviet souvenirs. We spent a long time looking at all the treasures.

The cobblestone street winds around the base of the glorious St. Andrew’s Church, which we had previously spotted from the river.
