Apparently, Prince wasn’t done with his Community Helpers unit. He wasn’t quite ready to move on to Sports. He wanted first-hand knowledge of what doctors do. He wanted a real-life experience in a hospital.
Why else would he fall off of a chair and split his lip open?
There was so much blood, but I tried not to panic. I honestly only took him to the emergency room because I wasn’t sure if he’d need a stitch or not.
The nurses weren’t sure either, and kept us there for about two hours before the doctor finally told us it would heal on its own and we could go home.
Princess enjoyed the Popsicle they gave us to numb Prince’s lip, but he wasn’t interested in it.
I guess he just wanted to meet a Community Helper face-to-face.
Next time, I told him we could go to a dentist.
Okay, I know it doesn’t look that bad in the picture, but there was blood everywhere, his lip swelled up three times its size, and it has been healing (and looking awful) ever since.
I agree with what my sister said, that “it’s better to do something about it and have nothing be wrong than to do nothing about it and have something be wrong.”
