Daffodils are my favorite flower.
They are such a happy yellow, their trumpet shape reminds me of the instrument my husband plays so well, they bob their heads in the breeze as if they are nodding at you when you walk by, and they come in the earliest part of spring as if to say “Look! Winter is over! The sun is shining! Smile!“
So I was pretty excited when I saw one popping up in our front garden. I told Lord Herndon that I had a surprise for him when he came home. He asked, “How big?” I said, “The size of Sweet Pea’s pinky.”
He was pretty confused, but he smiled real big when I showed him.
