After a day of testing, the girls and I ambushed Prince at his school and took off to the mountains for a surprise picnic and hike. He was so excited!
We drove into Mueller State Park, which holds a special place in our hearts. My roommates and I went running there during college, and Lord Herndon and I took Prince there when he was just a baby for our annual Aspen Adventure.
When I texted Lord Herndon and told him where we were, he replied that he had to come with us the next time. His absence was the only down side to the day.
