We’ve kept a log of all the bugs we’ve seen this week, not in museums but in our own environment. From a leaf bug in the yard to a centipede in our laundry room (yuck!), the kids have had eagle eyes all week. Sometimes I wish they didn’t tell me what they saw and where they saw it though!
We’ve also had very unusual weather here lately, with weeks and weeks of steady rain on top of the usual summer afternoon thunderstorms. It makes me realize that only one kid has a raincoat and only 3 of us have rain boots. It has also made us have strange house guests: earthworms! Talk about GROSS! They somehow come in through the cracks around the back door and I’m terrified of coming down every morning and finding them all over the living room floor.
I’m glad Bug Week is over.
