Welcome to Medieval Week! We’ve been excited for this week for awhile but our schedule has had to be a lot more flexible than normal. This week is District Assembly Conference for the CO Nazarene District, so the kids and I need to be in Denver most of Thursday and all of Friday, which means I’ve had to work harder at the beginning of the week to get my work done before I go. There are an abundance of medieval movies and we have a ton of books that fit the theme, but we were only able to fit in a few trips.
Our first was to the Renaissance Festival in Larkspur! We normally go every other year with my brother and his family, so this was a bonus trip. Honestly, my kids love it so much we could go every summer.
Evelyn is Éowyn, Alex is Peter Pan, Penny is Arwen, and Theo is Frodo.
We went with our good friends, the Simon family. We trade babysitting with them so we all get weekly date nights, for free! Best. Arrangement. Ever.
