Hot air balloons! Every fall, we get excited for the day the hot air balloons come to town. I heard so many rumors that the annual Balloon Classic would be cancelled, but with new organizations in charge and a name change, this year I swear there were more balloons than I’ve ever seen before! And some international ones too! I heard the Darth Vader helmet balloon was from Belgium. We barely got a glimpse of it before it sank down below the trees.
It was such a beautiful morning, perfect weather, wonderful clouds. And, this a first: we went on Sunday morning, watched the balloons, went to breakfast with our neighbors up the street, and still made it to church on time. WHAT?!
This guy was brave! Sitting in a little chair that was strapped to his own personal balloon. Yikes! My stomach dropped just watching him.
WE also got a pic in with people dressed as characters from the new Star Wars movie coming out this year. Are we excited about this Alex? Maybe just a little.
