Bike Tour, Arc de Triomphe, and Macarons

Day two of our trip to Paris started out with a wonderful Bike Tour through the city. It was a gorgeous, sunny spring day. Though Evelyn was a bit nervous at first since the bike felt new and unfamiliar, once we got going, everyone had a wonderful time. Most of the bike tour was captured on the GoPro, so that will be a big part of our Paris Video!

The tour took us past all the major sites in the city including the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower seen from Trocadéro Square, the Pont Alexandre III bridge, the Luxor Obelisk (Cleopatra’s Needle) and the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel in the Place de la Concorde near the Louvre.

After our tour finished, we lingered at the Arc de Triomphe for more pictures and to try out another Parisian treat: macarons.

We spent the rest of the day wandering around the streets of Paris, searching for a market that we had ridden past during the bike tour. It must have been a morning market only because we never did find it. We found lots of daffodils instead.
