Golden Gate, Kyiv Zoo, and St Volodymyr’s Cathedral

ladyherndon Home, Ukraine

After a sleepy, rainy day resting from our travels, we took Cynthia downtown to see some of the tourist sites in Kyiv. We started at the Golden Gate. We’ve actually been here three times as a family but were never able to actually tour the inside. While it wasn’t that impressive after all, we were glad to finally be able to see it.

After visiting the Golden Gate, our next stop was the Kyiv Zoo. We could see that they were making renovations and had plans to make it quite beautiful with natural exhibits and walkways. As it is now, we enjoyed the rather unkempt wildness of it.

Next, we had wandered past the ballet to see St. Volodymyr’s Cathedral.

Back home for dinner and bed before our last day with Cynthia!
