As part of our contract with QSI, they pay for us to fly home once a year. We were excited to see everyone and catch up on what had happened since we’d moved. Starting our trip in Denver before heading down to Colorado Springs, we tried to visit as many friends and family as possible, while still getting all of our taxes, doctors appointments, and paperwork done. It was a busy three weeks! Here are the highlights.
We spent an afternoon picnicking at a splash park with Deborah and her family.
Our amazing friends, Scott and Kelli Simons were so gracious to let us stay at their house when we first arrived, and then we went back up the next weekend to visit their new church and hike in their backyard in beautiful Golden.
I went on a wildflower hunt during this lovely hike! Prepare yourselves.
We were also able to spend several days with my brother Christopher and his family, including a Girl’s Day Out with RaShelle, her daughter Brittney and her college friend, and celebrating my nephew Logan’s 11th birthday with a sunny day at the Aurora Reservoir.
