After celebrating Mardi Gras, we entered the season of Lent by making Ash Wednesday special for the kids. We finished our colored-noodle necklaces from the night before (we stopped early because Prince had a bit of a temperature and went to bed), decorated a cross, prayed together, and began our individual fasts for the season.
