First, it snowed, but not enough to call a Snow Day at school. So Lord Herndon still had to drive to work on the slick roads, drive past accident after accident, and then find that his traditional route on the Air Force base was closed (due to snow!) and that he was supposed to take the “Snow Route,” which he didn’t know about.
Next, he realized he had forgotten his lunch at home.
Then, the handle on his plastic case which holds all of his books and grading broke so he had to bend over to pick it up.
When he bent over to pick it up (it was heavy), he heard a loud rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiippppp.
Hmm.
He went into his classroom, straight to the bathroom, and found that his pants had torn nearly from waist to inseam.
So he had to wear a coat around his waist until I could bring him a new pair of pants.
The rest of the day went downhill. But by then, he just had to laugh.
