Learn As You Bow Dress in Lace (Simplicity 2444)

The moment I picked up this gorgeously soft and drapey blue, I knew I had to make a dress out of it, and quick! I originally thought to cover it completely with the white lace, and then I thought to make the back only lace and not line it with the blue, but I eventually decided to put the lace only in the back and line it so that I don’t have any bra trouble. I love the pleating on this pattern, and the pockets!

I liked the Learn As You Bow Dress from Modcloth.com but didn’t want to put the bow in the front after all. Instead, I used lace with bows on it! So I can still call that my inspiration dress.

Grandmother lovingly provided me with a red fabric that is equally soft and wonderful, so I can see a red dress in my future.
