This quarantine has really forced me to take a look at what patterns I currently have with me and which once I know work well, because I don’t have access to my pattern stash in Colorado and it’s harder than ever to access the new releases!
Luckily, when you have a great pattern, you hold on to it and make it again and again. Vogue 8379 is one such pattern. It is the best knit wrap dress pattern I’ve ever used.
I mentioned earlier that I’m happy to use fabric that I purchased on our travels. This polyester blend is from a little fabric shop that Evelyn and I popped into in Montmartre, Paris, last year. I loved the silky drape, the burgundy color, and the florals and blue birds all over it.
I wanted a slightly different version than my first black ponte knit one, so I omitted the collar and the sleeve cuffs. I also included a lining of white polyester blend on the skirt, since I was a bit afraid of this thinner knit being see-through!
I also made the same addition as last time: pockets.
