Maxi Skirt in Noir (self-drafted)

ladyherndon Saw That, Sew This

I have seen a lot of black items on Modcloth.com listed as “noir,” so I looked it up.

Noir means:

1. Of or relating to the film noir genre.
2. Of or relating to a genre of crime literature featuring tough, cynical characters and bleak settings.
3. Suggestive of danger or violence.

I think I can have a black skirt that is “suggestive of danger”! Here is my dangerous black maxi skirt:

I didn’t need a pattern for this. The knit was woven in a continuous circle so the skirt part doesn’t even have a vertical seam. The waistband is a large rectangle folded in half and sewn closed. Easy peasy!
