Happy to Be Me Dress in Berry

ladyherndon Saw That, Sew This

I seem to be enjoying my knits lately! They are just so fast and fun to sew, and I like finding the unusual prints that my Grandma collected and whipping something out of them in one afternoon.

I could only find about two yards of this striped knit, so I had to sacrifice a few inches on the skirt to make it work, but the pattern was super simple and I think I did a good job matching the stripes on the side seams. It’s a comfy dress, as easy to wear as a t-shirt and shorts, and I think it’s slightly patriotic too. I don’t mind having a slightly different silhouette once in awhile, but now that I’ve made this pattern once I think I’ll drop the waistline about 2 inches the next time I use it, hopefully elongate my torso a bit.
