As part of the Sew Together for Summer challenge, I sewed up one of the projects I had brought with me when we moved to Ukraine: New Look 6446 and this lovely chambray from my Grandma’s Fabric Stash. I had matched the two long ago, but the extra push of the jumpsuit challenge helped me to get it sewn. I’ve already worn it three times! The first time, we took the kids and Jenna for a walk and found a park to play in. This was actually Easter Sunday, but a series of unfortunate events kept us from having any other grand plans than this.
I sewed a size 10 on top and size 12 bottom, easing the side seams to merge the sizes. I also increased the overall torso length to solve the very common jumpsuit issue there. I used some blue gingham for the bodice lining. The fit is great and it’s so comfortable!
I definitely need to increase my jumpsuit wardrobe. Here’s hoping I can get another one or two sewn before the challenge is over.
