Revisit: Dark Night Party Dress

ladyherndon Saw That, Sew This

I thought you’d like to see how I wear my dresses again and again, with different looks! I wore this to a double-date with a Groupon for Mona Lisa Fondue Restaurant (so romantic!).

And while I’m at it, let me introduce you to one of my favorite new stores: the Clothes Mentor! This little beauty of a thrift store is located conveniently right next door to my favorite store for kid clothes, Once Upon a Child. So I try to run in there semi-regularly, just to see what I can find. And right now they are having a 70% off sale that has lasted several weeks, so I have found some amazing treasures at ri.dic.u.lous.ly. low prices. For example, the beautiful pearl necklace and bracelets here: $4 for necklace, $4 for 5 bracelets.

I love thrifting. I really, really do. I bought white skinny jeans for $3, Lord Herndon found my real leather jacket there for a steal of a deal, and for the final coup de gras to the idea of shopping at regular stores, even during “sales,” allow me to introduce you to my apparently very-on-trend new Date Night Purse:

Apparently, chain strap purses are hot right now. Who knows why. But what I do know is that I saw this post over at J’s Everyday Fashion and had to giggle in secret triumph. From the post:

“One thing our outfits do have in common – a chain strap purse. I can’t get enough of this style and there are so many cute options under $100 right now – see below. The baby pink one is calling my name!”

So many cute chain strap purses available under $100. Wow.

Well, J, I can triumphantly say that I bought mine for 70% off of $5.00 = a whopping $1. 50.

Beat that!
