Take in a Matinee Dress in Polka Dots (McCall’s 6754)

ladyherndon Saw That, Sew This

Wow, a lot of blues and teals going on! Don’t worry, my next dress will be different. But first, one more fabulous blue…

STST29

Talk about versatile! This little number is one of my favorite dresses to wear lately. Let me show you some of the ways I have styled it:

STST29a

Brown ankle boots (Christmas present from Lord Herndon) and brown belt.

STST29b

Apple Slices Wedge from Modcloth and red patent leather belt (thrifted).

STST29e

Golden belt (thrifted) and golden ballet flats (with cameo appearance by Warrior Poet!)

STST29d

White woven belt (thrifted), white eyelet wedges, and red patent leather purse (thrifted). Fourth of July, anyone?

STST29c

Yellow! Happy yellow triangle necklace (from Joann’s), homemade yellow belt, and yellow sandal wedges.

I would have shown pink and green as well, but I think you get the idea. This navy-with-white-dots background is as much a “white canvas” as a solid color would be! I feel like the combinations with the dress are truly endless.

Ok, I promise. My next project will not be blue or any variation thereof.
