Field of Flowers Sweatshirt

ladyherndon Saw That, Sew This

My friends Carrie and Beth have both helped me find some treasures in my Grandma’s stash of fabric that I really had no plans for when I first received the motherlode from my Mom. Beth was making herself nightgowns and we searched through my tower of boxes labelled “silky,” finding many pieces I was happy to share, while also inspiring me to make some for myself! Then Carrie asked about sweatshirt material, which we both realized you can’t buy anymore. You can buy fleece and you can buy knit, but that gloriously comfortable combination of the two doesn’t seem to be available nowadays. Thankfully, it was when my Grandma was collecting, so I have boxes of the stuff and quickly recognized fabric similar to a sweatshirt I had admired on Pinterest. An afternoon later, and I had a super comfy and beautiful new sweater!
