Birds of a Feather Scarf (self-drafted)

ladyherndon Saw That, Sew This

This isn’t cheating, is it? I didn’t use a pattern: this scarf is basically the biggest square I could cut out of a piece of crepe de chine fabric I found in my Grandma’s treasure trove. But I did hem it. So that counts, right? I sewed it, after all.

I read about something called Me-Made-May, which is a challenge to wear something that you’ve made every day for the month of May. It sounded fun, and many people take daily photos to catalog what they made and wore. I wondered if I could do that? I think I counted 13 dresses in my closet that I’ve made, but with the odd skirt/shirt/scarf/etc., would I have enough to make it 31 days? So I think I’m going to keep up my self-sewing and give it a try! And this scarf may just help me finish the month.
