Here is look #7 in my navy collection, and I’m going to need to wrap it up faster than I planned because I’m running out of sewing time before I need to pack everything up for our big move. But in the meantime, I’ve already worn these breezy pants twice and I love them! They are totally new for me and a little ’70s, which I’m loving.
The halter top is made from some ivory ponte knit from Mood Fabrics. I also lined the top portion in a nude jersey knit fabric. I skipped the buckle part and stitched the neck ties together so I could just slip it over my head. It fits great (mostly) but does start to gape around my bust throughout the day so I have to be careful.
I used Butterick 5893 and some ITY navy floral ombre knit from Fabric.com for the pants. I sewed View C, with the split sides. I originally cut them in the View D length, then took off 2″ of the hem so they would be long enough for my platform sandals but not too long.
I love way my pants swish around my legs when I walk!
