Brand New York You Top in Plaid Roses (New Look 6450)

ladyherndon Saw That, Sew This

I’m trying to increase my shirt production, so I have collected a lot of fun tank top patterns lately and I’m going to try them all out. I can wear them now with a cardigan and in the summer on their own. This one is not my usual style in that it’s longer and flowy, but I got some of this beautiful peachskin from Joann in their autumn/winter clearance and it feels so silky and delicious to wear!

I love the high cut halter look and the pussy bow tie! So pretty and feminine.

I rarely, rarely wear pants to church but I did today because I felt dressy. Burgundy velvet heels help with that!

And I’m wearing my Simplicity 1696 black stretch twill cropped chinos again. I wear these babies a lot.

And here’s a close-up of this gorgeous fabric. I love the colors in the watercolor roses and how they look on top of the plaid backdrop.

And I was just treated to some more fabric treasures from my MIL, Beth! They’re moving back to the Springs this summer and she has been cleaning and organizing, and she found a tub of fabric that she doesn’t ever expect to use so she let me look through it. I found 6 yards of this gorgeous navy crepe with pink and cream flowers, and another peachy crepe with bright flowers on it! And even black crepe that may end up becoming a formal jumpsuit. I immediately picked patterns for three of the pieces and loved on the rest. And I pulled the 100% cotton pieces out for my mom’s quilting stash. Yay gifted fabric!
